Also I owned a "Flip" Video camera.. They are amazing.. Video and sound.. but once you put all the clips on your computer most video editing softwares will not take the clips or you cant edit them... so I DO NOT recommend it. :)

Also I started with WMM (Windows Movie Maker)
I am now using Sony Vegas :)

:mad::eek::censored::mad::poop::oops::oops: Excuse me:oops: My point and shoot has broken down yesterday!!! Aaargghhh It was a pretty expensive Sony Cybershot and the only camera I had left...
We have been saving up for a Canon 1100D. It will not cost me any money to get it. Because my boyfriend gets fuel at the Esso gasstation. Over here you get points for every time you get gas(he drives a lot for his work) and those point can be exchaged for coupons. And those coupons can be turned in at a certain webshop that also sells camera's. But we are not quite there yet.
So I was very happy to still have my Sony. But the lens is stuck, because of sand!!! Stuck it in my pocket with a wet and sandy ball, stupid me!! We have been trying to clean it, but I'm afraid it needs to be proffessionally cleaned. And that will cost a lot of money(ofcourse)

So I have been looking around for a cheap point and shoot. A local shop has a sale on camera's and I can choose between two samsung smartcamera's and a Canon Ixus117HS
So I thought to read this thread again and see which camera's you all use.
I guess the canon is favorite;)
I am comparing the three online now, so I know what they do. (Don't really trust the salesguys over there, as they are not specialised in camera's)
Tomorrow I am going to take a look at these camera's and most likely take one home:D as I really can't do without a camera!!!

Done a little online searching and I think I will be driving to the city tomorrow, to a shop that has a lot more camera's in stock. Found a canon ixus 230hs that I fancy!! It is a little over my budget, but it is better than the 117 I saw;)
Can't wait to get it and try it out!!!

I have a Canon IXUS 1000 which I use for video. Again this is my little point and shoot that I can carry constantly in my pocket, in bad weather etc I don't like to carry my Canon 450D and it is also quite bulky for long hill walks etc, so a point and shoot is great. The video quality is ok, except in dreary light when it struggles, but generally is pretty good. The only thing I would say is that the battery life isn't good so bought a spare battery straight away off Ebay, which cost about £4, I also got a little leather pouch for it to protect it in my pocket for 99p on ebay. Generally though for a point and shoot it is good quality.
