2 Minute Dog Treat--> Dog "granola"

Sometimes,
if i don't have really have anything great to use for dog treats,
i take an idea of Tx_cowgirls, and change it very slightly,
and made some "Dog Granola".
This treat takes 2 minutes to make.


I took some of Buddy's kibble,
put it into a plastic bag and crushed it into small bits (not powder, just small bits) by hammering it with a coffee cup,
and into that i mix in
one small spoonful of peanut butter,
and mixed it all together on a plate. You could also mix it up inside of a bag, i guess, by squishing the bag around.
You can also use a lil bit of raw oats in the mix, too, or throw in bits of meat, too.

I usually just use my bare hand to mix it up on a plate, and let Buddy lick my hands and the plate clean
after he does some tricks.and i put it all into a sandwich bag, and gave him lil bits of it for prizes.

This looks like "granola" when i am done,


He loves it, as he adores
~peanut butter~
with all his heart.

THIS IS KINDA MESSY, but, it works in a pinch when you are out of homemade dog treats
and have no meat in the house. It's great for training oudoors,
and not to worry, if you use it indoors, and drop some crumbs, dog will clean this up for you.

You can make it drier or gooey-er by adding more
or less
crushed up kibble to the small spoonful of peanut butter.

I store rest of bag in fridge, or freezer, and when chilled, this IS a bit less messy.

you could probably do this,
by using cream cheese, or squeeze-cheese, too, i'd bet, if you yourself, or your dog, are allergic to peanuts.

So this recipe is cheap,
FAST, easy,
and
has no flour
no added sugar
no added salt
no toxic preservatives

(depending on the kibble and the peanut butter that you use)


and most dogs love PEANUT BUTTER!!

You can also use this granola,
to put into home-made doggie "puzzles",
like containers of any type, or plastic butter tubs with lids,
or plastic water bottles,
even rinsed out gallon containers like milk comes in,
or liter bottles like colas come in,

and make these into puzzles
with holes poked in them, so granola falls out of the holes as dog plays with item.
(if your dog does not eat plastic)

Yeah Peanut Butter doesn't seem to agree with Bella so I'll have to try it with some cheese

I have got to make this for Kodi. He loves peanut butter and it would work perfectly for his puzzle toys!!! Buying Kong stuffing gets quite expensive after awhile....

I like this idea! I'll have to try it soon, the last remaining treats are depleting at a very steady rate!
