    I took River biking with me today. We were riding along and saw a squirrel in the middle of the street, debating whether he could cross.

    As we got closer he was still hunched over in the middle of the road and suddenly he made a run for it. He was probably within 6 feet of us. I thought to myself oh no this can't be good! I could tell River REALLY wanted to chase that squirrel, but he did a really good job and decided it would be better to just keep an eye on him. River got a jack pot of treats! What a good boy!

    River is doing well! He is almost three, which is hard to believe. Although I still get a lot of questions about whether he is still very young, a puppy, or even 8 months old. (Mostly because of his size and a lot of Goldens are way too big according to breed standard...and he maintained his adordable puppy face.)

    Last weekend we went to an animal acting workshop which we both enjoyed very much. River is as smart as ever...and I keep meaning to make a new video but it is just not happening. Hopefully I will have one up by his third Birthdy in Augus.

    You can, you know, post photos in your "Information" tab, is not easiest thing in the world to figure out, but, can be done!

    That class you mention sounds fascinating! Bet that was fun!

    OH, you are young! I thought SR meant "senior" as in old. I'm so dumb. YOUR WEBSITE OR YOUTUBE PAGE is awesome.

    I LOVE your icon, i know a pal who is working on having her dog paint as trick...i can't wait to see the final trick.

    LOL SRG are my initials...I like to write my screen name like this: SRdoGtrainer. I think a lot of people thing that SR means senior though...oh well.

    Our picture...is from Halloween. It was inspired by River's breeders name; Davinci Goldens. We are working on painting though.

    Cool! If you post vid of the painting, if you remember, make sure i see it, i've never ever seen that trick.
    However, my other pal will may be a lil bit bummed, or maybe surprised, as she feels a painting dog is unique, one of a kind, trick.
    but i'll be stoked to see both of your videos on it, when the trick is done.

    River and I are currently home for the holidays, (early) in New Jersey. I'll have to work on Christmas and New Years day.

    I took River to an Obedience Fun Match. River was very distracted by smells and I made several mistakes but we came in 2nd and got ribbon.

    River went to another Conformation show last weekend. He is now a UKC Champion after getting a Reserve and two Best in Shows.

    He didn't have a lot of competition in the Altered class (he didn't go up against a single Golden), but we both had a good time, and River was fine with all four judges including two male judges.

    ...okay o we had no competition...but I am proud of him because he did great in the ring and had no problems with the judges going over him!

    Really we are trying confirmation just for fun, another activity we can do together, and more experience for me in a different kind of show ring. Over all the day was great, River did amazingly well, and we came home with ribbons, couldn't have asked for anything more!

    River is currently learnng shame, skateboard, hobble, lift back leg, go through laying hola hoop, and say your prayers...just to name a few!
