Hi all,
I have just found this forum and it looks to be full of really useful stuff!
I live in the UK. I have 2 dogs - a 3 yr old cross breed rescue dog that we have had since she was 6 months called Bella, and a 13 week old red merle Border Collie called Flynn!
Bella came to us with quite a few issues but is just a brilliant dog now! She still has some anxieties but has come such a long way. I love clicker training with her and she loves it too! Today we have just mastered getting her to put a toy into the box!
Flynn is as you would expect a total bundle of energy and puppy craziness! He is settling in well though and is quick to pick things up. House training and socialising are coming on well. He knows sit and down and we are practicing drop and leave it and watch me. We are working on his loose lead walking and walking to heal. Then just for fun we have also learned paw, spin (clockwise) and twist (anticlockwise!) and I am teaching him to retrieve (he is struggling to grasp this one!)
He loves training and can manage loads of sessions a day and still be looking for more to occupy him!
I'm looking forward to getting lots of ideas from here to try with them both. x
